Join us this Thursday for a captivating talk with Norwegian American photographer Mikael Aaland, whose lens has captured the essence of American icons—from Elizabeth Taylor to Ronald Reagan and Jimmy Carter.
Aaland is the author of several acclaimed books, including County Fair Portraits (which earned him an appearance on Late Night with David Letterman) and Sweat—a fascinating exploration of global bathing traditions, the result of a three-year journey documenting sauna and sweat culture around the world.
At this special event, Aaland will share insights from his career, with a special focus on Sweat and the stories behind his images. Chef Paul Roarke will add culinary excellence to the evening, making this a feast for both the mind and the senses.
We are honored and excited to welcome Mikael Aaland to the Norwegian Club—this is an evening you won’t want to miss.
